Played around with a bunch of other settings, and eventually got it detected! (Not 100% sure, but I think setting the PCIe Gen to Gen4 instead of Auto may have been the issue.) Booted up, all monitors working great, etc. Everything should be configured automatically once SLI or Crossfire is. No immediate improvement in fact, the Graphics Card Information page is gone in this version. AMD Crossfire Configuring Crossfire and SLI setups can be carried out using either AMD or NVIDIAs control panel. Originally the limit was two cards, and therefore two Graphics Processing Units (GPUs). This is intended to be as transparent to the rest of the computer as possible. Update: Updated to newest BIOS version, 4402. SLI and CrossFire provide a system for two or more video cards to work together to render the same video stream. The BIOS Graphics Card Information page only ever shows the 3080Ti.Īm I missing something - is this type of setup doable? I realize each will only use 8 lanes, but I would expect that any two GPUs should be compatible if I'm not trying to use SLI/CrossFireX. I've tried multiple combinations of both GPUs in various slots, however, and the Radeon is never detected. As CrossFire supports GPUs from AMD, SLI is also exclusively meant for GPUs from Nvidia. The original setup had the 3080Ti in slot PCIe X16_1 and worked fine. SLI is the counterpart of CrossFire from Nvidia. So, an AMD RX 570 can be Crossfire with an AMD RX 580, while you will need two GTX 1070s for an SLI configuration. I'm attempting to get a dual GPU setup going - just for additional displays, no SLI or CrossFireX. The first and the most significant difference between the two is that Crossfire allows you to mix and match GPUs from the same architecture type while SLI only allows for Multi GPU configuration of the same graphics card.
